“Synergy” what is the picture painted in your mind’s eye when you think about it? For me, the voices in a choral arrangement evoke the synergy that is required for harmony. The sum is truly greater than the parts.

It is nebulous, hard to grasp and define but the results are truly evident when we look around our organization. Our team members come from a vast range of backgrounds – some remnants from the organization that once was, some were birthed here within our culture and ethos and some were molded into the culture that is ACT.

What amazes me is that this eclectic mix of amazing men and women have truly caught on to the vison that had inspired our leader and founder Rev. Viju Abraham. Each one of the team from the leadership to the grassroot workers understand what it is to imbibe integral mission into our very DNA and live without the separation of sacred and secular.

This passion that motivates and sustains us can best be said that we are synergistic, leveraging each other’s strengths, mitigating our weaknesses and pushing each other to produce remarkable results that could never be achieved as individuals.

The beauty of this synergy is that it does not remain stagnant within us but seems to effortlessly pervade the whole nonprofit space within the city of Mumbai.

Our long-standing partnerships with different faith-based and community organizations have been often difficult but the end result always bring the deep satisfaction that only comes when you invest in communities. Partnering with the government sector was a steep learning curve but we never gave up and now these partnerships are a testament to the fact that we can truly “Create Synergy for City Transformation”.

Henry Ford once famously said, “Coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress, and working together is a success.”

Completing 50 years together is a success that we can be proud about. This has been a journey of ubiquitous joy and a deep sense of vocation for all of us who have been privileged to be on the journey that is ACT.

One of our dear friends said that “ACT is always on the move, on a journey searching for the promised land”. Hoping that we will reach the promised land in our generation and we will soon see the vision of a new Heaven and a new Earth where there will be no tears and no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away and everything has become new.

We hope as you go through the website you will learn more about the wonderful work that we do. We truly hope you will be blessed and continue to partner with us.
