Community Transformation Project

Mental & Physical Health and Rights & Entitlements

Objective

We empower faith and community-based organisations to take ownership and responsibility of their communities. Training them in the promotion of safe heath practices is one of our main focus. The second important focus of this program to is empower our communities by training them comprehend and advocate for their entitlements and rights.

Physical Health Program

Our Physical Health Program is an effective tool to train communities in understanding the impact of lack of knowledge of safe health practices. Here we tackle aspects of both communicable and non – communicable diseases including reproductive health.

Mental Health Program

In our Mental Health Program we train mental health workers to share awareness on common and severe mental health disorders to the community so that there is identification and treatment by a cadre of lay or para mental health workers who provide a bridge between a professional psychologist  and the community. As a result of this awareness, stigma and discrimination is significantly reduced. Our aim is to further  care for and empower individuals, families and groups to accomplish mental health, wellness, education and career goals. Our beneficiaries vary from boys struggling with an adolescent crush to women facing domestic abuse and violence.

Our trauma counselling vertical works in partnership with rescue and rehabilitation organization to train care givers, probation officers and other officials in the judicial system that provide after services to the survivors of trauma and abuse.

Justice & Rights

The rights program is conducted in partnership with a justice organization to train communities to understand their rights and responsibilities and also advocate for their entitlements from their government and others in authorities.

We also train the community in all aspects of child sexual abuse and help the victims to seek the courts for redressal and justice.
